Before the Credentials

If you've read this far, something brought you here.

A résumé is usually a list of accomplishments — degrees, licenses, the places someone has worked. You'll find all of that below, and it matters. But if you're reading this page, there's a good chance you're not only checking qualifications. You're trying to answer a quieter, more important question: Can I trust this person with the parts of my life I don't show many people?

That question deserves an honest answer. So before the credentials, I want you to know who you'd actually be sitting across from. I work with people in tender places — wives and mothers who have given themselves away, couples worn thin by years of misunderstanding, individuals carrying grief or anxiety they've never said out loud. None of that makes you broken. It makes you human, and it makes you brave for looking for help.

Whatever you're carrying, you won't be rushed, graded, or handed a one-size-fits-all program here. You'll be met — gently, honestly, and exactly where you are.

You are not too much, and you are not beyond repair. You are more.

Education & Formation

Trained in both the clinical and the theological.

Annie holds a rare pairing of graduate degrees — one in the science of human relationships, the other in the questions of meaning, faith, and the human person. Together they shape a therapy that honors the whole of who you are.

M.A., Marriage & Family Therapy
Indiana Wesleyan University

Clinical graduate training in the assessment and treatment of couples, families, and individuals, grounded in evidence-based relational science.

M.A., Theology
University of Notre Dame · Echo Program

Graduate theological formation through Notre Dame's Echo Program — a selective faith-and-service fellowship — completed prior to her clinical studies.

B.A., Psychology & Religious Studies
Saint Mary's College

Undergraduate study at the heart of the Notre Dame community, where her interest in the meeting place of psychology and faith first took root.

Where theology meets therapy — that's the ground Annie has spent her life learning to stand on.

How Annie Works

Proven Methods, Human Warmth

Annie's clinical work draws from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), narrative and attachment-based approaches, and relational tools like PREPARE/ENRICH and the 5 Love Languages. Why I Founded You Are More

The name is the whole message.

Over years of sitting with people, Annie kept meeting the same quiet ache in different forms. A wife who had poured herself into her marriage and children until she could no longer find herself in the picture. A single woman who had begun to believe her worth was on hold until someone chose her. A couple convinced the distance between them was permanent. Different lives, the same lie underneath: I am only as much as what I can give, or who will have me.

You Are More was founded to tell the truth back. That every person carries far more resilience, dignity, and possibility than their hardest season lets them feel. That healing happens in relationship — in the safety of being truly seen, heard, and understood without judgment. And that faith, for those who want it, doesn't have to be left at the door of the therapy room; it can be part of how a person comes home to themselves.

It's a practice built for the woman who loves deeply and is only now learning to include herself — and for anyone who has forgotten, even for a little while, that they are worth the work.

You are more than your struggles. You are more than your relationship status. You are more.

What It's Like to Work With Annie

Gentle with the heart. Honest with the work.

Therapy here is a partnership. Annie brings clinical insight and steady compassion; you bring your courage. Together you go only as fast as feels safe — and never alone.

  • A space without judgment. You can say the things that feel hardest to say aloud — the resentment, the doubt, the grief — and be met with warmth instead of a flinch.
  • Met exactly where you are. No one-size-fits-all agenda. The work is shaped around your story, your pace, and what matters most to you.
  • Faith on your terms. Prayer, scripture, and spiritual reflection are available if you want them — and entirely set aside if you don't. You are welcomed fully either way.
  • Someone who stays. Whether you're rebuilding after betrayal or simply trying to find yourself again, Annie walks alongside you — for as much of the road as you need company on it.

"Whether you are an individual, a couple, or a family — I am here to remind you that you are more."
