Single Truth

You are more than your relationship status.

Single Truth book cover by Annie Harton

If you've ever felt like life was on hold until the relationship arrived — the right person, the ring, the next chapter — this book is for you.

Single Truth is a gentle, deeply honest companion for anyone navigating singleness, heartbreak, or the ache of waiting. It doesn't promise that the right person is just around the corner. Instead, it offers something steadier: the reminder that your worth was never tied to your relationship status in the first place.

Written From Inside the Waiting

Single Truth was born out of one of the most painful seasons of Annie's life. As a marriage counselor who had spent years helping couples build stronger relationships, she found herself navigating her own heartbreak after an excruciating breakup shattered the future she had planned.

In her thirties, single, and surrounded by clients living the very love stories she longed for, Annie committed to a year-long dating fast — no dates, no apps, no distractions — to dive deeper into her relationship with God, confront her deepest fears, and learn to embrace the life right in front of her.

What makes this book different is that Annie wrote it while she was still in it — still waiting, still wrestling, still learning to trust.

Drawing from her dual background in theology and psychology, she weaves personal story with clinical insight and spiritual depth. The result is a book that feels less like advice from someone on the other side, and more like a friend sitting beside you in the middle of the hard part.

What You'll Find

Single Truth blends memoir, clinical wisdom, and faith into a reading experience that meets you exactly where you are.

An Honest Story

Annie shares her own heartbreak, longing, and adventure as a single woman in her thirties — without tidy answers or toxic positivity. Real life, told honestly.

Clinical Insight

As a licensed marriage and family therapist, Annie brings the perspective of the therapy room — helping you understand identity, attachment, and the stories you tell yourself.

Faith & Theology

Trained in theology as well as psychology, Annie integrates a Catholic Christian perspective — reminding you that God is more than any problem you bring Him.

Reflective Questions

Each chapter closes with reflective prompts that readers consistently describe as some of the most powerful questions they've ever sat with.

Permission to Wait Well

Rather than rushing you toward the next relationship, Single Truth helps you live fully in your current season — and find meaning right where you are.

More Than Singleness

Though written from singleness, the truth at its center reaches everyone: you are more than your diagnoses, your past, your job, and your relationship status.

Questions That Stay With You

Single Truth isn't meant to be rushed through. It's meant to be sat with — alone with a journal, or together in a small group or book club.

The reflective prompts that close each chapter are the part readers return to again and again. They're the reason so many describe finishing the book and immediately starting it over.

From the pages of Single Truth

What would change if you believed your worth had nothing to do with your relationship status?

Where in your life are you waiting to start living until something arrives?

What is God inviting you to discover in this exact season — not the next one?

A New Chapter —
and a New Book

When I wrote Single Truth, I was single and waiting. Today I'm writing from a very different season — as a wife and a mother — and learning all over again that I am more than any title I carry. — Annie

Annie's next book is already underway. This one steps into her new chapter of life: marriage and motherhood, and the surprising work of holding on to her identity in a season defined by giving herself to others.

The same honesty, faith, and clinical insight that shaped Single Truth carry into these pages — a reminder that whether you're single, married, or somewhere in between, you are always more than your relationship status, your roles, or your responsibilities.
